Consulting through our business services into the board of directors as part of the management team helping IBS on key projects. These projects include:
•Implementing Relationship Management Applications (RMA’s) between foreign        banks and IBS.

Employed by the leading power generation, transmission and distribution company in Somalia as management consultants. La Talin worked with the board of directors to:
•Improve performance and building staff capacity
•Designing and implementing sustainability policies

After an initial assessment of the fishing sector in Hobyo, La Talin formed Sahan Seafood by bringing together leading private sector stakeholders, diaspora, financial investors and business partners. The company has invested nearly US$1,000,000 in infrastructure and processing plants in Hobyo and is due to start operations in 2018

AfricaWorking is a unique collaboration channeling the collective power and voice of the private sector to make an impact on employability and entrepreneurship in Africa. Corporate organisations such as Microsoft, Barclays and Franklin Covey have joined together to pool resources with the aim to increase youth employment rates and support entrepreneurship. La Talin has supported the creation of SomaliaWorking, a direct investment funded by the International Labour Organisation to build capacity and deliver the AfricaWorking concept in Somalia.

Galmudug State, Somalia. La Talin set up and organized the first Galmudug Public-Private Dialogue in Dhusmareb in 2018. This major conference, the 1st of its kind in the region, was led by the President of GALMUDUG State HE. AHMED DUALE GELLE (XAAF) accompanied by the most senior officials of the regional government, members of the regional parliament and the private sector. Over 350 people attended the 2-day event which La Talin arranged local Somali sponsors making this a unique self-funded event.

La Talin has worked with the Somali Chamber of Commerce and Industry in a number of capacities, notably working alongside the chambers to develop and strengthen regulatory frameworks and policies, in consultation with the private sector, to enable private sector led economic recovery that benefits sustained economic growth in Somalia.

The USAID initiative, GEEL, commissioned La Talin to conduct a high-level feasibility study on the fishing industry in Hobyo. We have continued to engage with GEEL assisting with the establishment of local industry and livelihoods initiatives.

Contracted to provide consultancy services to the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations to deliver a feasibility study and develop preliminary design options for fish landing facilities in Hobyo, Somalia. To ensure we won the tender, we built a strong consortium of experts from Germany, Malta, UK, Ireland and Kenya ensuring a strong team approach.
